Jones: Impact of Minimum Wage Increase on Joplin Businesses "Minimal"

The federal minimum wage headed up to $7.25 today.

So how will that affect workers in the Joplin area? Workforce Investment Board Director Jasen Jones says, "not much."

Jones tells us most businesses in Jasper and Newton counties could see the effects later as the costs of goods and services around the country up their prices to offset the wage increases.
