Two and a half million dollars is already in the bank for the Joplin Regional Prosperity Initiative as the group pushes to grow local jobs and businesses.
Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce President Rob O'Brian says its promising to have so much at the start but they still need another million in donations to bring the program to full strength.
